En O Chardinet d’a Formiga we think that it is possible to live in harmony with our natural environment while respecting the air, the water, the land, the rocks, the woods, the plants, the birds, the mammals, the amphibians and fishes, the insects…our cultural
patrimony and ancient traditions in our time. From the beginning, we have sought the most sustainable ways to build and restore this old house. And although it was quite difficult, we were able to achieve it!
We keep this spirit alive every day by taking advantage of rainwater, recycling, consuming local products and producing our own products from the vegetable garden. We also minimize waste by cooking every thing we can produce and making some furniture and other crafts. We are always looking for new ways to improve the health of our land and planet.
